My Pursuit of Happiness

All I ever wanted was to know I was more than I am
Never had much by way of material; mostly conversational

In my life, I have received and I have given.  What does it
benefit a man to gain and not lend the same?

Never take without a sincere thanks and a promise to
someday give back.  Life is not yours or mine, it is ours.
So, why not exist as such?

Exist as we are one because we are.  Love, speak truth,
be brave and aware of it all

There is more than you.  The grand scheme is flawless.
We all play a vital part in the conjoining of hearts,
minds and souls

I am therefore I persist.  To strive is to hunger.
To hunger is to achieve

I love how it is all displayed.  Laid out, open and honest;
awaiting accurate configuration

Never maintain a lackluster shine.  Be bright, immaculent,
and a symbol of what is, could and should be

My light is omnipotent.  The darkness, though it exists,
is rare and becomes more predictable.  I also like the dark;
it makes my bulb that much more gratifying

My humbling experiences have made me thorough
in accepting my faults as well as those in my field of
touch, smell and sight

"Give me everything and I shall give you everlasting life"
I will.  I will.  I will.  I will.

Thank you for yesterday because it made today and
I SHALL MAKE TOMORROW!!!
